St. Mary’s College has applied for accreditation but, committed to remaining as free as possible from government-imposed regulations and programs that could compromise our mission, will not participate in state or federal loan programs. We will, rather, continue to rely upon the generosity of benefactors committed to the Catholic Liberal Arts education that the College provides.
Ways to Support SMC:
† Beth Gerad’s Scholarship Fund
Beth Gerads died unexpectedly while a freshman at St. Mary’s College. A scholarship was established by the family as a memorial for her virtues and love of the College, to be awarded to students in the 3rd and 4th year of our program.
† Hewitt Dickerson Scholarship Fund
Hewitt Dickerson graduated from St. Mary’s College in 2023. A recent convert to the Catholic Faith, Hewitt loved his life at the College and the many wonderful friends he made there. In his battle against the cancer that eventually took his life he is an example of a courageous soul in love with Christ, His Church, and “on fire for God.” The Hewitt Dickerson Scholarship fund fulfills the wish of the family to set up a scholarship and fund in Hewitt’s name to support the College and her students he loved so much and so well.
† Lt. Fitzsimons Scholarship Fund
Lt. Fitzsimons, a graduate of St. Marys College, was the first American officer to die in France during World War 1. He is remembered for his dedication and sense of self-less service to his profession and helping his fellow men. This competitive scholarship is awarded to graduates of St. Mary’s Academy who exhibit those same leadership qualities and above average academic abilities.
† St. Mary’s College Operating Fund
This fund is used to help defray the general operating costs of the College. Your donations will help one of the most affordable colleges in the nation.
